Does a water packaging business require SON certification?

SON stands for the Standard Organization of Nigeria.

It is the organization responsible for preparing a standard for products in Nigeria at all levels.

It is also charged with the certification of industrial product as to whether it meets the required production standard set by the Organization.

Another of its function is to assist industries with the production of quality goods.

Water is one of such products that is required to be certified by the organization.

A water business needs a product certification to show that it has met the degree of satisfaction to consumers through compliance with Government policies on standardisation and conformity assessment.
