DPR is the acronym for Department of Petroleum resources. This is the Department vested with the power to License or permit Companies to that render technical services to oil and gas industries in Nigeria.

The purpose of obtaining the certificate gives the holder legal ground or permission to work with petroleum companies.

The type of companies that work with DPR is any sector that hopes to work with the oil and gas industry.
